Participation Mystique: Reflections on a Dream and Synchronicity

A recently published essay in the Jung Journal that reflects on a dream and two subsequent synchronicities. These experiences induced a sense of awe and encouraged a deeper relationship to wonder, change, loss, and the earth. The case is made for the capacity of grief to shift us out of a collective ego complex that disconnects humans from the planet. Participation mystique emerges as a potential way of being and way of seeing that holds the promise of transformation and a greater relatedness to the earth.
