Ryan Maher, MA, LMHC, LCPC

Ryan is a licensed psychotherapist, writer, and presenter practicing in Washington State and Illinois. He holds a degree in Clinical Counseling with a focus on trauma from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Ryan works with individuals facing significant life transitions, personal and relational challenges, and struggles with meaning or purpose. His specific areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and grief. He brings warmth, compassion, and an affirming presence to his therapeutic practice.

Ryan is the founder of Inner World Therapy, where he provides holistic support to the individuals and couples he works with. Before establishing his practice, he was part of Watch Hill Therapy, a group specializing in trauma treatment. There, he honed his skills as a trauma therapist and delivered workshops exploring the connections between trauma and the body, mind, and psyche, as well as the therapeutic application of dreams. Earlier in his career, Ryan worked at a treatment facility for individuals with severe mental illnesses, where he developed group programs, provided skills training and counseling, and collaborated on treatment plans.

Ryan is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, the American Counseling Association, The Breathe Network, and the Seattle Jungian Psychotherapists Association. He is also an affiliate member of the Jung Institute of Chicago.
